Mid-century Modern - Rosso, SwedenRounded corners and large windows set a tone for the new addition to this small, Scandinavian, fifties-era house. We designed the garden with a similar functionalist philosophy, creating an outdoor space that is geometric, practical and easy to maintain. Simple geometric shapes achieve a retro-modern feel that is subtle and balanced: fruit trees are organized into large gravel squares, silver willows are planted on circular mounds to screen the home from the street, and the patio areas and paths are created by 1 x 1 meter concrete square pavers set in grass.
