This mid-century house and garden went through an extensive remodel. A raised lap pool with a water fall is the main feature of the back yard. The raised edge works as a seat wall and helps mitigate the height of the retaining walls behind the pool.
Dark concrete walls frame a triangular wood deck on the far side of the pool. The triangular shapes of the deck and lawn create a dynamic energy in the space. The deck is accessible by stepping stones over the pool.
An outdoor shower with a tile mosaic back wall provides a focal point from the pool deck.
The hillside is covered in lush planting.
