Shades of Green Landscape Architecture

Total Transformations

Before...

What was once an overgrown jungle with dated amenities, we transformed into a family-friendly landscape with simplified and drought-tolerant plantings.

Before...

On this corner lot, we designed tall, concrete planters to create privacy and extend the usability of the property. The new planters extend the living room into the new outdoor living space.

Before...

This new vacation home was built on a hilltop with great views. Traditional Mediterranean plants placed in a grid pattern combined with open rectangular spaces of gravel create a spacious, modern, and inviting atmosphere.

Before...

For this San Francisco garden, we created a new multi-use area in the lower level garden. A semi-translucent fence allows light into the space while still providing a sense of privacy.

Before...

Native lawn, permeable surfaces, and a graywater system were all integrated into this landscape design. Great care was taken to reuse existing materials and drought-tolerant plants.

Before...

Located on a hilltop surrounded by oak savannah, this estate’s entire landscape was re-envisioned. The new owners sought to create a home for their family by remodeling the two existing houses and adding a pool area in addition to redesigning the gardens and entrance area.

Before...

This overgrown city lot was transformed into an oasis of lush planting that encloses a cozy patio. In the rear yard, a pergola extends over a concrete couch and fire pit creating an ideal space for relaxing.

Before...

Offset stairs with strip lights at night create a new statement entryway. Coast Live Oaks on the site required special care as we worked them into the design. An accent wall sits in the front yard, along with a mosaic of succulents, carefully selected.
