Wellness Sanctuary SF
Mature, field-grown olives create a canopy in the front of this Pacific Heights home. The front yard is gated and private with a stepped entrance to the front door. The trees create continuity by echoing the mature olive at the street.
The backyard is organized into two levels – the upper level with outdoor kitchen dining and yoga deck outside the gym, and the lower level with lounging lawn and firepit. The design creates an easy indoor-outdoor connection to the garden room, gym and sauna. Lush and shade-tolerant plants were used, along with no-mow grass.
Tree ferns, michelias, camellias, and bamboo envelop the garden, offering a sense of seclusion and serenity. The existing podocarpus hedge was carefully preserved and pruned. The new yoga deck offers a multi-functional space for play and relaxation.
Pots and planters were added to the upper terraces.
The roof terrace offers amazing views while enjoying the low-growing plants and a firepit.
