Sierra Towers
The two office towers share an entrance plaza that was in need of updating. The plaza presented several challenges: it is shaded by the towers for most of the day and the two towers create a wind tunnel through the plaza. The area is on bay fill and the soil is unstable and stays wet and saturated. The existing plaza had a grid pattern with no clear entrances to the main doors.
The new entrance walks have been reconfigured to provide clear paths of travel enhanced with lighting.
We worked within the existing grid pattern and utilized plantings, lawn, and grasses to enhance the grid.
Existing benches were reused and configured into groups.
