St. Ignatius College Preparatory

This project is to design a new Northen campus for one of the oldest schools in San Francisco. Due to its close vicinity to the coast, the site is always foggy and windy.

The careful selection of plants to enhance the site is required. The school wants to ultimately build three new building wings shown in the Master Plan, but the third building will be built in unforeseeable future. The big portion of landscape will be a long-term temporary landscape with maximum flexibility of usage and programs.

Movable planters and furniture are proposed. It includes the design of the small chapel garden, multi functional open space in the back, roof top terrace and street frontage landscape. The project is submitted for a site permit in San Francisco Planning Department and is planning to break ground in 2024.
